President & CEO Mike Ferrufino brings a strong understanding of the Hispanic community and Hispanic business issues to many organizations. Mike Ferrufino has significant experience developing complex business strategies and leading strategic partnerships, as well as hands-on knowledge of electronic broadcast issues honed as the vice president and general manager of Latino Communications, a local, minority owned Denver based media company that serves as the owner and operator of 4 Spanish Language radio stations in Colorado (KBNO-1280 in Denver, KXRE-1490/98.5 FM in Colorado Springs and KAVA 1480 AM in Pueblo). Together the Radio stations reach over 200,000 Hispanics weekly and Mike is responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy, elevating the client experience and overseeing day-to-day operations. Mike is a self-described “serial entrepreneur” who believes “The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake – you can’t learn anything from being perfect.” In addition to his work in Spanish language Media, he also has been involved in companies that operate in the entertainment and hospitality industries. He currently co-owns a 20,000 square foot event center and has formerly co-owned a 25,000 square foot event center. Additionally, he co-owns a promotional group responsible for producing, planning and marketing entertainment events primarily targeting the Hispanic market with attendance between 1,000 and 20,000 per event. Mike (has served or currently serves) on the board of directors of a number of non-profit organizations, including but not limited to: The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Children’s Campaign, Robby’s Friends, Mi Casa, Hispanic Chamber Education Foundation, Denver Health Foundation, Denver Public Schools Foundation, The Ohio Center for Broadcasting and Susan G. Komen Colorado.
